Adobe Photoshop 4 Poster Printing Tips
Exciting news for designers! You can now mix traditional art with digitization, without having to compromise with any one of them.
Using designwares, a designer can basically do everything, which he would have done with the help of paper and pencil traditionally and that too, at a much faster rate with very less wastage. A designer now has the power to erase and redraw images and illustrations, during the last phases of their design, without having to get more pencil or paper.
All designers from commercial to traditional artist can take this advantage. Designers designing and branding materials like posters and brochures can follow these steps to minimize their waste. They would cut down waste on a company` budget for poster printing along with paper waste because something that would not meet the standards would not be printed accidentally. In this designware plenty of time can be spent fixing errors, before printing the posters.
Below are some basic steps to be followed in this designware while designing poster prints:
Several designers have the opinion that sketching process in digital and traditional art is very similar. The graphic palette gives them the feeling that they are drawing on a paper. But drawing with this designware is slower compared to paper drawing. But, on the other side, you can have several effects created such as halftones with this design ware, which cannot be drawn with the help of pencils.
After having sketched your image, convert it to sepia tones and then you should begin working on colors. To convert to sepia, select Image, then go to Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation and then select the Colorize check box. Use the sliders after that to color the lines into brown, reddish ochre or yellow. The sketch line in sepia produces halftones that are subtle and makes it easier to view images. While coloring, it also retains its structure.
By using layers and sketching, possibly a poster having more interest and depth than hand-drawn sketch can be created. By fusing the worlds of traditional art and digitization, awesome artworks can be created.
